THE MAYOR OF TURIN SERGIO CHIAMPARINO MEETS FOR A SMILE ONLUS
The 6th of April 2009, at Palazzo di Città, the Mayor Sergio Chiamparino has received the president of the no-profit association "For a Smile Onlus" Ludovica Vanni, that was accompanied by a delegation formed by partners, voluntary in order to introduce the international humanitarian projects that For a Smile Onlus has developed in its three years of life and the future projects that will involve the City of Turin.
It has been set the accent on the international project that will see the realization of the first European “day care house” of For a Smile Onlus for the street children from the 0 to 16 years in Kinshasa,Congo (RdC). The day care house will be managed by the Figlie della Carità di San Vincenzo de' Paoli.
The Mayor has made his compliments to the president Ludovica Vanni, for the great job done by the association, confirming the communes objective of solidarity and cooperation, and with the auspice of a collaboration between the City and the association For a Smile Onlus that could become concrete with a project of social awareness in 2010 during the showing of the “Sacred Shroud” and the visit of the Pope to Turin.

“For a Smile is a Onlus association that is bringing forth very important projects of solidarity in Italy, in Turin and in so many other parts of the world, it is a pride for the Mayor of the City of Turin to know that this organization was born in Turin confirming a historical vocation of our City: the social solidarity. I wish that the helps for For a Smile will grow from more parts and I will work because this association can organically be even more woven in the system of Social Politics that the City is getting on in years."
