HOSPITAL FOR CHILDREN REGINA MARGHERITA - (O.I.R.M.)

The Regina Margherita Hospital for Children in Turin, along with the University of Turin’s Department of Paediatric and Adolescence Science, is a hospital specialising in the prevention, diagnosis and cure of the various infant illnesses. Together they guarantee a defining operation of didactics and scientific research.

The response to paediatric health emergencies is assured by the Accident and Emergency Department - A&E. The hospital, divided up into two wards, Paediatrics and Surgery, is a point of reference, on both a regional and national level for the most complex, rare and chronic pathologies affecting children.

As a result, it revolves around a population, whose age ranges from 0 to 14 years, extending until 18 years old in order to continue treatment. There are continually projects of structural and technological improvement taking place so as to guarantee better conditions of security and hotel comfort, for both the children and their parents.

The Regina Margherita Hospital and its professional staff have been working for years in order to provide children and adolescents with an environment which responds as much as possible to their specific needs. They strive to maintain an environment in which these children can remain close to their parents and friends and meet people capable of helping them understand, confront and cope with the complexity that surrounds them.

Entertainers, teachers, volunteers and clowns are the treasured allies of the doctors and nurses that guarantee recreational and scholastic activities, as well as uplifting moments of entertainment.
