One Hand is Enough! A simple but direct message chosen by For a Smile Onlus (NPO) for the new social communication campaign. Its aim is to raise funds for the humanitarian project “Talitha Cum”, facilitating the construction of a Day Care Centre for the street children in Kinshasa (Congo RdC). From the 21st of December 2009 until the 9th of January 2010, the public will be able to donate 1 Euro by sending an SMS to the number 48.5.84 from TIM, Vodafone, 3, Wind or 2 Euros by calling from a landline Telecom Italia. The cruel situation of the Congolese girls living on the streets is not known by many, if known at all. Victims of marginalisation and servitude, theirs is a reality that For a Smile Onlus (NPO) has been called upon to help dispel, together with three extraordinary friends:
Paola Rivetta, renowned journalist of Tg5, who chose to support the project “Talitha Cum” and became its “P” and exceptional testimonial of the TV spot and radio commercial “One Hand is Enough”.
Maurizio Mastrini, ingenious and talented in the field of international music and friend of For a Smile Onlus, as well as composer of the NPO’s melody and its new anthem.
Piero Pomponi, photo reporter and special correspondent in Congo, supplied the video interviews and images of the girls living on the streets for the two TV spots “One Hand is Enough” and “Street Girls”. From the bottom of its heart, For a Smile thanks the media partner RTL 102.5, the friends of Mediafriends and all the media that gave voice to the social communication campaign “One Hand is Enough”, enabling it to reach a national level; press coverage, TV, radio, web and outdoors: Canale Italia, Sky, Telecity,

The creativity of the communication campaign in the press, as well as the new logo of For a Smile Onlus, was the handwork of Marco Prunotto’s Noodles Communication Agency of Turin, who chose to capture on film, with no holds barred, a street girl in Kinshasa blocking the camera lens with the palm of her hand.
It is a proud and spontaneous gesture that makes us stop and reflect. A real image that conveys the intensity of a difficult life, accompanied by a direct and candid message, encapsulated perfectly in our claim “One Hand is Enough”.
